I am glad that we are done, I really enjoyed learning how to make a video and the programs to enhance the quality. The storyboard helped out especially when we needed to make a 90 second video. I look forward making videos in my Spanish classes and share the amazing free editing programs they can use to enhance their creations. I hope we can create learning/reflective podcasts in my classes can see their progress and also share what they have learned with others.
I can’t believe we are at the end of the innovative program, and to be honest I didn’t know what to expect when I began the master's program, but I am truly grateful that I did because I have learn and grown a lot professionally. I am also grateful for an educational program that is supporting teachers to become leaders in the new era of education and technology. What I am going to miss the most is the people who made this program memorable, professors and my peers “Cohort 8”. Although have not met face-to-face, their experiences, ideas, and opinions made it a great learning experience for me. Thank you each one of you who participated in the program with me and I wish you all the success with your innovative endeavors.
Success! I finished my rough cut of my video, took me a while because of location issues, I didn’t have quiet place or space to record. I tried different locations but sound was horrible, but I finally received a key to my classroom today. Surprisingly, the storyboard helped a lot, if it was wasn’t for the storyboard, I would of not finished on time. I was really nervous because everyone did an amazing job with their videos so I felt the pressure, Marie’s video helped me a lot and motivated me to use WeVideo. And after moving things around (script and visuals) and editing, I was able to finish. I Feel better, but I hope I get feedback because my peers did an amazing job even though some were “rough cuts”.
First, the storyboard has been a difficult journey because I am trying to find the right visuals to help reflect my words, and second, finding the right words to fit between 60-90 seconds. My draft of my storyboard is complete, but I know I need to make changes and I hope my peers can help me out. I would like to add myself to the video using a green screen, but I don’t know if we are allowed, if I am able to use it, then I will use iMovie through my iPhone, if not, then I will use Windows Movie Maker because I find it easy to create videos. I think if I am in the video that will give a more meaningful message, but I will wait and see until I try it, but before I do, I wanted to get input for my storyboard.
